Procurement Specialist
Description
As a Procurement Specialist, your role ensures clarity and organization throughout our procurement processes. Your supplier management, negotiation, and supply chain optimization expertise will ensure we deliver high-quality custom systems to our end customers in the aerospace, defense and telecom industries. Your ability to communicate clearly and concisely will facilitate smooth interactions and foster strong relationships.
In addition, meticulous attention to detail is essential as you will oversee multiple projects concurrently. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to monitor and manage various aspects of procurement, ensuring accuracy and success.
Essential Job Functions --
- Supplier Management and Performance Monitoring:
Research and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet our requirements and become preferred vendors.
Track, reconcile, and manage invoices, monitor supplier performance, and promptly address concerns.
Conduct negotiations with vendors as necessary. - Purchase Order and Database Maintenance:
Generate and oversee purchase orders, confirming delivery schedules and resolving issues promptly.
Update the internal database with accurate purchase orders and part information.
Evaluate procurement demands and determine appropriate actions. - Risk Management:
Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans to ensure timely delivery.
Independently resolve procurement-related issues and provide prompt responses to queries. - Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with logistics to resolve inventory and receiving issues.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Coordinators, and Project Managers.
Assist in various supply chain facets, including administrative tasks, while complying with ITAR requirements.
Treat internal customer requests with professionalism and respond promptly.
Demonstrate and apply our internal and external company values (aka "Anchors") by working positively and collaboratively with team members and customers while innovating, eliminating the non-essential, and improving.

- Exceptional ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access. Familiarity with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems is preferred. Oracle a plus.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
3-5 years’ experience preferred, but relevant skills or education may be substituted in lieu of years worked.
